KOKONATI Organic Coconut sugar is made from the sweet sap extracted from the flower of the coconut tree. The sap is slowly evaporated and crystallised to produce coconut sugar has a subtle sweetness that does not overpower the flavour of the food it is added to. Depending on the harvest and season every batch of nectar can vary in colour and to a minor degree in taste as it is a completely natural extraction and production process which does not use any chemical refining or addition of additive or preservatives to standardize product.
Coconut nectar has a tested glycaemic index range of 35-38.
